 Policies.

We book our haircuts based on the length of hair and amount of time needed as opposed to traditional gender-based pricing. It is critical to us that everyone feel comfortable and safe here regardless of where you fall on the gender spectrum. Please let us know your pronouns! 

A credit card will be required and kept on file when booking ALL appointments.

We have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule please notify us with at least 24 hours notice.
Due to the nature of our business we must maintain a stringent missed appointment policy. All missed appointments will be charged 50% of their total service cost in the case of a no show or cancellation with less than 24 hour notice.

Arrival 5 minutes or later to an appointment may require rescheduling and may result in a no-show charge.

In the case of 3 no call/ no shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice you will be only be able to be seen on a walk in basis.

We are proud to guarantee fantastic service every time. If you are not completely satisfied with a service received please notify us within 7 days to have it resolved promptly.

Any retail item purchased at Luminary Hair Co. may be exchanged or returned within 14 days of purchase. If a product is returned past the initial 14 days, salon credit will be offered or the product may be exchanged for a different product.

Service dogs are welcome, but we ask that you refrain from bringing pets to your appointment.

We do offer Gift Cards and eGift Cards in any denomination! Please come by, call, or purchase online for a special occasion or just because.

We accept cash and all credit card types. Please no personal checks.

We pride ourselves in providing a space that is as inclusive and safe as possible and operates with a Zero Tolerance Policy. This policy extends to but is not limited to: homophobia, racism, transphobia, queerphobia, biphobia, misogyny, harassment, xenophobia, classism, antisemitism, islamophobia and ableism. We reserve the right to ask any individual to leave or to not return in the event of a violation.


COVID-19.

Masks are optional for guests and staff. Some of our stylists may still ask you to wear a mask during your service. We will be happy to provide a disposable one for you if you need. If you would prefer that your service provider wears a mask please let us know and we will happily oblige!

Our whole staff has been trained and certified in COVID-19 specific sanitation. We have a very small waiting area at this time that is designated for guests receiving services. Please do not bring extra persons with you to your appointment.
